The guy who created Claude Code at Anthropic said he doesn’t even write prompts anymore. He just writes loops.

His name is Boris Cherny, and on the Acquired podcast he said his whole job now is writing loops instead of prompts. Here’s what a loop actually is: a goal, a few agents with different jobs (one plans, one builds, one reviews), a build-review-fix cycle, a stop condition so it never runs away, and a memory that carries between rounds so it never repeats itself or breaks what it just fixed.

The industry’s starting to call this loop engineering. I built my own version of this, and my chief of staff runs on a loop like this every morning.
