It’s taken a while to get these two prints finished. Originally inspired by our annual regatta where the boats are tied up between races. I loved the pattern of the skiff against the texture of the water and wanted to explore a variety of cut marks that highlight the two.

I’ve been wondering what to do with my rejected Lino prints. Today I decided to make geometric Christmas baubles out of them. Tricky but therapeutic.

Had a very productive day setting up and printing the next batch of my new prints. It’s all about the prep work at the start to make sure the registration is as crisp as possible and I loose as few prints as possible.
All a bit boring but I’ll thank myself in the end.

I spent the evening at the private viewing of Society of Wildlife Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries . Such a privilege to be exhibiting alongside such great artists.
The exhibition is open to the public from tomorrow and well worth a visit.

The tiger in the water’ made it through to the Final shortlist of 100 for Explorers Against Extinction . So honoured to have made it through as I know there were so many high quality entries.
I’m looking forward to seeing the exhibition at the Oxo Tower Wharf gallery again this year. I’ll keep you posted on dates.

Yay, Reflections of a Tiger has made it through to the longlist for the competition for Explorers Against Extinction . I’m very pleased to have been selected again. Fingers crossed for stage 2 and thanks for all the votes to help me choose which artwork to enter.

I wasn’t able to make it in person to the private view at , but I’m very proud that one of my prints has made it onto the wall to sit beside other talented printmakers. And a big congratulations to fellow Fiona Wallin and for winners in their category. Super talented ladies.
