If you own a business or commercial property in the West Picacho & Motel MRA, now is the perfect time to enhance your building’s security. The expanded Small Business Safety Improvement Grant provides up to $5,000 in reimbursement for approved safety upgrades installed after July 1, 2026. This includes cameras, door and window sensors, lighting, fencing, locks, and more.

Beyond funding assistance, the City partners with the Las Cruces Police Department’s Community Outreach Unit to offer free CPTED assessments, providing tailored recommendations to strengthen safety and reduce crime.

Applications are reviewed as they come in and will remain open until funds are fully distributed. Don’t wait—apply early at LasCruces.gov/BusinessIncentives.
