Two years ago today, Dad went into the hospital and never came home.

It still feels like yesterday — the sounds, the smells, the heaviness in the air. This time of year is always hard, and no matter how many days pass, that part doesn’t seem to fade.

But what does stay with me is Dad himself. I hear his voice in my head every day, sometimes in the smallest of moments. I carry him with me — in my heart, in my work, in the way I try to show up for others.

Grief changes, but it doesn’t disappear. Today I’m honoring him, missing him, and remembering all the good and love he left behind.
