Annie's Art and Frame

Annie's Art and Frame Independently owned and uniquely Ballard since 1990.

Like the dynamic neighborhood we call home, Annie's Art and Frame hasn't stopped growing, changing, and evolving since day one. What started out as a frame and poster shop in 1990 has grown into something more akin to an interactive art gallery. We still frame posters, but now we've also got unique Seattle-made gifts, a letterpress studio, and we even do installations. We're known for our service, and with a staff of artists and musicians, we can speak to the creativity and the craftsmanship that go into every item and every service we provide.

We’re three weeks into and we still have yet to post any spooky frames. Time to fix that! These whimsically dark prints by Eduardo Robledo are just perfect for this time of year! Two matching pieces in the black Fenice moulding by Framers Inventory and a contrasting companion piece in gold Rococo Ruffle by Bella Moulding make this a beautifully coordinated set

We did not specify a Fall theme for this month’s Artwalk, but that is exactly what Renee Shepherd delivered! Her hauntingly beautiful collection of linocut prints and mounted beetles, moths, and butterflies will be gracing our shop for the rest of the month. You won’t want to miss it!

You also may have noticed the incredibly creative framing designs of Renee’s art. That is because Renee is a professional framer by trade, and she happens to be a member of our team! So if you’d like to tap into her creativity for your own framing projects, just bring in your art and ask for Renee (but maybe call ahead to make sure she’s here first 😉)

Be sure to follow Renee at sheep for more amazing art!

With Ballard Sidewalk Sale and the Farmer’s Market happening on the same day, you might want to pick up a new tote bag to haul your goodies. That’s where Peeky by comes in!

Peeky is a playful take on the classic tote.

“Natural cotton tote bags with something going on inside. Each bag features a cute plush animal poking its head through a rough, frayed hole, like it’s stowed away for the day and enjoying the view. Functions like a tote. Feels like a companion. Explains nothing.”
