Spaza's non-disposable biodegradable products are designed with careful consideration for the natural, sustainable, raw materials that are locally available. A Spaza shop is an informal shop selling everyday household items, run from home in South African townships. The production of Spaza's functional hand-made products creates home-based employment for South African women.

We did it! Our first ever table cloth.🎉 Since we began selling from our founder’s garage in 2012, we’ve created many pieces for the home. Now, for the first time, we’re introducing a SpaZa tablecloth.
We’ve made it in a considered palette that works beautifully with our new Heritage collection and our classic Protea dish covers. It’s available in limited numbers and in two sizes: a square cloth that suits a six-seater or round table, and a rectangle for a longer table.

Ironer Berenice has been with us since the early days of our Fair Trade workshop in Mitchells Plain. “I like working with people,” she says, describing a team that feels like family. What began with two women sewing from Anne-Marie’s living room has grown into a thriving workshop employing 12 women from the local community.
